6. Settings

6.1 Accessing Settings

To access the menu, you can either press button 4 on the remote control or swipe inwards from the left or right edge of the screen. This will make the two icons visible at the edge of the screen. To access the menu, tap on one of the two.

6.1.1 Home | Status

Source: Select the desired input source.

Volume: Use the slider to adjust the volume.

Brightness: Use the slider to manually set the brightness of the display's backlight.
Alternatively, you can dynamically adjust the brightness to the ambient brightness by activating automatic brightness control.

hint: The manual control and is only possible if the automatic function is deactivated.

6.1.2 Display

Picture Mode: There are different ideas to choose from, adjust the color representation, the contrast.
The "User" selection allows you to manually adjust and adjust brightness, contrast, saturation and sharpness.

Colour temperature: Increases or decreases the red or blue portion of the display. You can choose between Medium (balanced), Cool (increased blue content) and Warm (increased red component)

Aspect ratio: As a rule, the input electronics of the display recognize the aspect ratio of the video signal itself and display it accordingly correctly.
You can use the 16:9 or 4:3 selection to make adjustments manually if necessary.
P2P Picture to Picture: The image is displayed in the transmitted original resolution centered in a part of the display.

hint: The display's native aspect ratio is 16:9.

6.1.3 Settings

Under Settings, you can descend into three submenus.

Language:
Select the language in which you want the menu and status messages to be displayed.

Entrance:
In this area, you can make basic settings:

Boot Source: The selection determines which input source is automatically selected after the display is started.

EDID Setting:
Here you determine which EDID information is stored on the HDMI and USB-C inputs and is transmitted to the source.

EDID 2.0 = 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz and full color resolution (4:4:4)
EDID 1.4 = 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz or 60 Hz with reduced color resolution (4:2:0).

hint: The EDID information coordinates the source and display. The higher the resolution and refresh rate, the more demanding the signal transmission, which becomes a challenge, especially at longer distances. The EDID 1.4 setting can help solve the problem in these cases.

Automatic Source Selection:
If this option is activated, the display automatically switches to the last plugged-in source.

CEC Control:
If this option is activated, the display can control connected devices via CEC command, e.g. turn a soundbar on and off.

Hint: CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) only works via HDMI and with compatible devices.

Standby without signal:
If there is no signal, the display can be automatically switched to standby after 10, 30 or 60 minutes. Alternatively, this function can also be deactivated, please select "Off".

Info:
Here you will find relevant information that is important in the event of support, especially the firmware version.

hint: The serial number cannot be displayed in the menu for technical reasons. You can find them on the side of the left edge of the display or on the back of the nameplate.
